Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Hematologic Malignancy and Cellular Therapy outpatient team. You will care for patients undergoing Stem Cell Transplant, CAR‑T therapy, and MGUS within a multidisciplinary setting.

Ideal candidates have internal medicine skills and oncology experience, with opportunities for clinical advancement and CME. Monday–Friday, outpatient clinic hours are expected.

Qualifications

• NP requires Master's degree in Nursing.
• PA requires Bachelor’s degree; Master's preferred.
• Active NP or PA licensure in NC; DEA with prescriptive authority.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain high standards of patient care across cancer diagnosis continuum.
• Elicit patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order imaging and tests to determine diagnoses and treatment toxicities.
• Formulate treatment plans with clinical judgement and prescribe medications.
• Chart patient progress with detailed health records.
• Participate in clinical research and data collection on toxicities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Educate patients, families, students, and staff.
