MedStar Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our interdisciplinary team in providing patient-centered acute nursing care.

The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, organize care under RN direction, and contribute to care plans and education for patients and families. This role requires an active LPN license in DC and CPR certification, with 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a Rehabilitation or acute setting.
• LPN license in the District of Columbia.
• CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Organizes, prioritizes, and cares for groups of patients under the direction of the RN.
• Collaborates with team to implement care plans and patient education.
• Administers medications and assists with activities of daily living.
• Documents patient status and communicates changes to the care team.
• Participates in staff orientation and unit performance improvement.
