Job summary

Louisiana Extended Care Hospital - Lafayette is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for LTAC/ICU settings in Lafayette, LA. This direct-hire, full-time night shift role offers hands-on nursing care to high-acuity patients and collaboration with RNs and physicians.

You will monitor patient status, administer medications, document care, and support education for patients and families. A strong clinical judgment and compassionate, team‑oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Louisiana or compact state.
• 1+ year of acute care, ICU, or LTAC experience strongly preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on nursing care to patients with complex medical needs.
• Work closely with RNs, physicians, and the care team to support personalized care plans.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications and basic treatments, and accurately document care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting recovery and long‑term well‑being.
• Ensure care is provided in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
