Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix is seeking a Float Pool Nurse to provide comprehensive, safe, and evidence-based nursing care to acutely ill adults and their families, across ages and conditions. You will assess problems, lead the development and evaluation of care plans, and advocate for patient needs with a holistic approach.

You must be an Arizona-licensed RN with at least 2 years of nursing experience and current AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Arizona RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Two (2) years of nursing experience
• American Heart Association Certifications (AHA BLS & ACLS)
• Basic Life Support Card (AHA BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Card (AHA ACLS)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care while ensuring patient comfort
• Anticipate and address informational and emotional needs of patients and families
• Guide and direct healthcare personnel in caring for patients
• Maintain knowledge of equipment setup and use (IV pumps, monitoring equipment, drainage devices)
• Initiate emergency measures as needed (CPR, injury prevention)

Education

Associate/Bachelor of Nursing or foreign equivalent
