Job summary

Baptist Health in Miami is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition assessment and medical nutrition therapy for acute care inpatients. You will determine regimens, place orders, and communicate care plans to the care team.

Requirements include BS in Nutrition, LDN, CDR RD, and hospital clinical experience, with strong communication and computer skills. A sign-on bonus is available with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition required.
• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) and CDR RD.
• Board certification in nutrition specialty OR Master's degree or higher.
• Direct patient care in hospital setting expected.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform nutritional assessment and intervention for acute care inpatients.
• Determine appropriate medical nutrition therapy and place orders.
• Communicate plan of care to patients, families and care teams.
• Educate staff, patients and families on nutrition plan of care.
• Document findings, orders and interventions in the EHR.
• Contribute to department process improvements and adherence to guidelines.
