Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration; must pass exam within 6 months if registration eligible.
• Masters degree required for registration-eligible hires after Jan 1, 2024.
• Completion of ACEND accredited program and state licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) as an RD/RDN in acute care.
• Apply the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose and manage complex needs.
• Provide advanced nutrition counseling to support behavior change.
• Use nutrition tools to develop personalized care plans.
• Mentor dietetic interns and new graduates; support staff.
• Implement evidence-based practices with interdisciplinary teams.
• Manage nutrition care across discharge planning and DME ordering.
• Independently write/manage nutrition-related orders within scope.
