Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South) on a full-time basis. This role supports patients with heart conditions and stroke care, with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates and several day-shift options.

The unit provides specialized cardiac and telemetry care, and the RN will participate in the nursing process and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• NIH within 1 year of hire.
• Acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Background in Stroke or Telemetry preferred.
• New Grad RNs welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, coordination, teaching and health promotion, evaluation).
• Deliver patient care consistent with unit standards and policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
