Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks a Registered Nurse to provide safe, therapeutic care on the Adult Internal Medicine Unit. You will apply the nursing process, assess and plan care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patients from young adults to the elderly with diverse diagnoses.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration, patient and family education, and careful documentation.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years recent RN clinical experience in a Medical/Surgical acute care unit.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.
• BSN preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessing patients, implementing the plan of care as directed by orders, policies and procedures, administering medication as ordered and providing patient and family education.
• Care planning and evaluating outcomes as well as documenting in the patient medical record and collaborating and communicating with the multidisciplinary team.
• Assist with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
• Participate in quality of care improvement activities aligned with organizational, department and unit priorities.
