Job description

Overview

The Acupuncturist is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of acupuncture therapy for cases such as addiction, stroke rehabilitation, musculoskeletal issues, women’s issues, stress management, digestive issues, headache, migraine, respiratory issues, and arthritis.

Responsibilities

• Discuss with doctors and patients about possible drug‑herb interactions.
• Provide patient education in lifestyle changes.
• Recommend exercises and stretches specific to each condition, as well as meditation and Tai Chi demonstrations with referral to the Tai Chi class.
• Incorporate manual therapy (TUI NA‑Chinese remedial massage).
• Provide diagnosis and discuss treatment plans with patients.
• Build solid relationships with patients by delivering an excellent experience at each visit.
• Complete progress notes for patient treatments.
• Safeguard client confidentiality.
• Follow clinical hygiene rules deliberately.
• Practice clean needle technique.
• Maintain a professional appearance for self and the therapy room.
• Follow up on license renewals.
• Seek ongoing education.
• Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with mental health therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, dietitians, wellness coaches, chiropractors, massage therapists, professional organizers, and educators to provide appropriate patient treatment.
• Organize community education workshops in the facility.
• Provide field‑related tips for the facility newsletter and community blog.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned and modified at the manager’s discretion.
• Interview and qualify new hires for Acupuncture Physicians for ChenMed and Jen Care.
• Train new Acupuncturists (shadowing only for ChenMed Florida Market).
• Conduct professional and ethical client relationships.

Pay Range

$76,732 - $109,617 Salary. The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
