Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our hands-on robotics team in Austin. You will design and analyze electric actuation systems, create clever electromechanical packaging, and help push Apollo humanoid projects toward scalable production.

You will prototype, test, and iterate concepts with a small cross-disciplinary crew, produce GD&T drawings and BOMs, and contribute to DFMA, DVP&R, and pilot builds to meet demanding performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in actuation or robotic systems development.
• Hands-on prototyping and testing of mechanical components.
• Experience with GD&T and BOM creation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to detailed actuator design and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering team.
• Prototype, assemble, and test concepts.
• Perform FEA and design optimization.
• Create GD&T drawings, BOM, and procurement docs.
• Support pilot builds and DFMA improvements.
• Conduct DVP&R to ensure requirements.
