The role involves utilizing statistical and machine learning techniques, high-performance data architectures, and technologies to address complex business problems and analyze large, unstructured data sets. Assists senior/lead data scientist or project lead on advanced analytic requests and provides guidance and insights into the daily operations of various Departments or Institutes.

A caregiver in this position works remotely from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  1. Engage business leadership, internal stakeholders, and technology partners to discuss the business benefits of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  2. Lead evangelization and Data Science service education activities to stakeholders and internal customers.
  3. Lead problem formulation/model building, leveraging ML and AI technology, working directly with data to define analytics and synthesize findings that address customer requirements for value generation.
  4. Advise customers and prospects on technology and tool selection to meet emerging analytics requirements and drive value on existing and future data.
  5. Lead the launch and implementation of proof-of-concept projects and operationalize successful concepts.
  6. Contribute to scientific literature and academic partnerships.
  7. Contribute to Data Science education for stakeholders and internal customers, teaching how to communicate the value of advanced analytics, qualify prospects, and propose Data Science services.
  8. Lead relationship development and technology evaluation for new enterprise partnerships.
  9. Lead instruction of the Analytics University curriculum to Cleveland Clinic caregivers.
  10. Provide independent peer review of model assessments and communicate feedback.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with six years of related experience, or a PhD with two years of experience, or a Master's Degree with four years of experience. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, experience with statistical languages/packages (e.g., SAS, R, Python, Spark), knowledge of advanced statistics, familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, or C/C++, and experience with visualization and BI software. Technical knowledge of distributed computing platforms and leadership qualities are also required.

Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees (Master's or PhD), certifications, experience with various technologies and healthcare, and project management experience.
