Symetra is seeking an Actuarial Associate I or II to run the monthly fixed indexed annuity valuation model and deliver timely financial results. You will develop model enhancements and perform analyses to support insights and process improvements.

Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Actuarial Associate I or II!

About the Role

This role is responsible for running the monthly fixed indexed annuity valuation model, ensuring timely and accurate financial results. The actuary will also develop and implement model enhancements and perform indepth analyses to support business insights and process improvements.

• Assists with product development, financial reporting, management reporting, experience studies, and actuarial research.
• May prepare reports, maintain spreadsheets, databases, and other actuarial software.
• Commitment to self development, attaining industry knowledge, and passing actuarial exams to achieve actuarial designation.

Compensation

Salary Range:$75,000-$119,000 dependent on experience,plus eligibility for annual bonus programs

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong quantitative background including college level mathematics.
• 1 to 3 years of annuity related actuarial experience.
• 1 to 3 actuarial exams.
• Proven ability to adhere to due dates and strong sense of accountability.
• Has a basic understanding of annuity products.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Preferred experience with Python, SQL/Snowflake and or other actuarial modeling software.
• High school diploma required.
