Job summary

New York Life invites you to its 2027 Actuarial Summer Internship Program in New York City. The 12-week hybrid internship blends hands-on actuarial projects with skills classes (actuarial modeling software, Excel/VBA, Python) and weekly lectures, plus mentorship, meetings with senior actuaries, and social events.

Participants gain exposure to product design, pricing, financial results evaluation, and strategic planning, with potential full-time opportunities after completion.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior or recent graduate pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or Finance
• GPA and exam progress preferred (SOA)
• Experience with actuarial and statistical analytics is a plus

Responsibilities

• Developing premiums and benefits for new or enhanced insurance and annuity products
• Projecting profitability generated by the company's products
• Quantifying the company's risk exposure and proposing risk-minimizing approaches
• Performing actuarial and statistical analytics
• Optimizing actuarial processes
