Job summary

Capital Insurance Group invites applications for its Actuarial Summer Internship, located in our Monterey, CA, office. This fully in-office program develops actuarial methods and analytics skills under senior actuaries.

Ideal candidates pursue degrees in quantitative fields, with exams preferred and a GPA above 3.6. Candidates should have basic SQL, Python or R knowledge and be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or possessing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative subjects.
• Completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
• GPA of 3.6 or higher is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and Python or R is preferred.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Job Overview

Our actuarial interns will gain industry expertise in core actuarial disciplines, as well as lead their own analysis under the supervision of the seasoned actuaries.
