Verisk Analytics, Inc. is expanding our Strategic Actuarial Operations team in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on actuarial and data-driven processes, building efficiency, and delivering insights that inform regulators, clients, and internal stakeholders.

You will work across data, product development, and IT to develop capabilities, automate workflows, and improve how we present and deliver analytics to customers. Strong communication and programming skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline is required.
• 1-5 years of P&C insurance industry experience or related data/actuarial work is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills; able to work independently and in teams.
• Proficiency with SQL, R or Python and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot) and MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Prepare regulators and customers’ materials, including analyses and data visuals.
• Code logic and troubleshoot data extraction for analyses and reports.
• Assess data quality of premium, exposure, loss, and claims data for actuarial work.
• Automate processes to improve data quality and delivery of insights.
• Respond to regulators and insurers on filings and analytic products.
• Collaborate across units to improve data quality, product development, and user experiences.
• Tell data stories by identifying key insights and communicating them effectively.
