PRT Benefit Calculations Leads / Actuarial Systems SMEs

Role Summary

You will serve as the technical authority for complex pension benefit calculations, working alongside senior actuaries, legal experts, and technology partners. Responsibilities span design, validation, certification, and ongoing administration of mission‑critical calculation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and code GAC (Group Annuity Contract) benefit calculations in ProAdmin for new client implementations
• Identify, document, and validate all data elements required for accurate benefit calculations
• Prepare comprehensive sample calculation requests and resolve complex discrepancies
• Review and interpret legal plan documents, translating complex provisions into calculation logic
• Lead technical certification of ProAdmin calculations for audit and regulatory compliance
• Review and validate Procentia‑developed calculation logic and support independent testing
• Design and execute comprehensive IntelliPen benefit calculation testing protocols
• Draft and maintain detailed plan specifications and calculation documentation
• Support data migration activities for deferred benefit populations
• Support audit and regulatory activities with documentation and technical expertise

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or related field
• ASA (Associate Society of Actuaries) designation REQUIRED
• 8+ years of professional experience in PRT, annuity administration, or pension benefit calculations
• Hands‑on experience with IntelliPen testing and validation frameworks
• Strong understanding of pension plan documents and legal benefit provisions
• Experience working with Third‑Party Administrators (TPAs) such as Procentia
• Expert‑level Excel and advanced data analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

• FSA (Fellow Society of Actuaries) or EA (Enrolled Actuary) designation
• Track record as a Calculation Subject Matter Expert or calculation certification lead
• Hands‑on experience supporting external audits and regulatory reviews
