Job summary

American International Group (AIG) is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to monitor portfolio performance for the Lexington Contract Bind business and support pricing and underwriting strategy development. You will present rate-change proposals to senior underwriters and coordinate with IT to implement changes, while building monitoring reports for ongoing profitability insights.

The role requires collaboration with UW, finance and claims teams to interpret trends, estimate monthly results, and drive

Qualifications

  • BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area.
  • 2+ years of experience; pricing experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Commercial Contact Bind Underwriting Team with profitability studies.
  • Develop pricing and underwriting strategies with UW.
  • Implement rate changes with IT.
  • Build and monitor reports for UW understanding of the book of business.
  • Communicate results to UW, finance and management.
  • Collaborate with claims to understand loss trends.
