Job summary

Farmers Insurance Fixed-Term Internship is a paid summer program designed to immerse interns in actuarial functions across Product, Actuarial, Analytics, and more. Interns will work on real business problems spanning multiple units, with guidance from project mentors and leaders.

The internship lasts 10 to 12 weeks during summer 2027, offering exposure to tools and technology used in real-world actuarial work and potential opportunities for future full-time roles for high performers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (BS/BA) or Master's (MS/MA) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related field.
• Rising Junior or Senior level or pursuing Masters' degree.
• One Actuarial exam passed is required - P or FM would be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Support actuarial data compilation for loss trending and exposure analysis.
• Assist with rate model calculations and validation.
• Contribute to loss ratio reporting and reserve analysis.
• Participate in cross-team handoffs and process documentation.
• Shadow senior staff on strategic decisions involving actuarial work.
