Job summary

Greater New York Insurance Companies is seeking an intern to assist the team with competitor analysis and market insights for Commercial GL, Property, and Auto lines. You will research rate filings, maintain a competitor database, and support Tableau dashboards for presentation of results.

The role involves updating SQL tables and code to output analyses, with exposure to Excel and Tableau. Candidate should have at least two years of college and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

Two years of college in Actuarial, Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in building spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
Programming experience in SQL, R, VBA, or other languages preferred.
Working knowledge of Tableau preferred.

Responsibilities

Research competitor rate filings for Commercial GL, Property, and Auto lines of business.
Perform competitor analyses for Commercial GL, Property, and Auto lines of business.
Update Tableau dashboards to compare GNY and competitor filings.
Update competitor analysis SQL Server database tables based on rate filings research.
Update and maintain SQL code to output final competitor analysis tables.
Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
