Constellation Insurance invites you to join its actuarial internship, offering hands-on experience in data manipulation, modeling, and reporting within a collaborative team. You will work across areas like Enterprise Risk Management, Product Management, and Corporate Actuarial Financial Reporting to contribute to real projects.

You will gain mentorship, engage in meaningful tasks, and develop analytical, technical, and communication skills throughout the twelve-week program starting May 2027.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a major in actuarial science or related financial/mathematical field.
  • SOA exam completed (at least one).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Proactive and independent with ability to meet deadlines and interact professionally.

  • Data Analysis: conduct data manipulation, organization, and analysis to support decisions.
  • Modeling: run actuarial models and analyze outputs for accuracy.
  • Documentation: verify factors used in computations, document processes, and help automate reports.
  • Tool Development: create and refine calculation tools to support pricing and valuation.
  • Specialized Tasks: develop rate filings, in-force files, and experience study results; assist in premiums and pricing levels.

Job description

As an Actuarial Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a financial services company. You'll collaborate with professionals in areas like Enterprise Risk Management, Product Management, or Corporate Actuarial Financial Reporting, contributing to real projects that impact the business.

  • Specialized Tasks: Depending on your area, you may develop rate filings, in-force files, and experience study results or assist in determining premiums, benefits, and pricing levels.

What You Need to Succeed:
Required:
  • Academic Background: Pursuing a major in actuarial science or a related financial/mathematical field.
  • SOA Exam: Completed at least one SOA exam.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Proactive and Independent: Ability to take initiative, work independently, meet deadlines, and interact professionally with colleagues.
Preferred:
  • Programming Skills: Experience with programming languages like VBA, Python, or R.
  • Relevant Experience: Prior work experience, including internships or co-ops, is a plus.
Internship Details:
  • Duration: A twelve-week program starting in May 2027
  • Compensation: Pay rate starts at $22 per hour
  • Schedule: Full-time (Monday -- Friday, 8:15 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.)
