PEMCO is seeking a Data Scientist - Actuarial to conduct actuarial and predictive analyses that support product development, rating, reserving, and system changes. The role partners with the Product Team to deliver data-driven business solutions and measurable performance improvements.

The candidate will build and validate models, assist with pricing strategies, and document workflows while upholding PEMCO’s values and ethics. Occasional travel to the Seattle headquarters may be required.

Formación

• A bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or related field is required.
• ~3+ years actuarial and predictive modeling experience is required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
• Proficiency with Python, R, SAS and/or SQL is required.
• Analytical, data-driven, and able to translate data into actionable insights.
• Ability to work with external vendors to integrate data and build scalable data models.

Responsabilidades

• Provide analytical support for actuarial and product development.
• conduct predictive modeling and multivariate analysis.
• Assist with development and implementation of rates, rating plans, pricing strategies and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Team and other business units to provide business solutions.
• Document system workflows and business processes.
