Job summary

Perr&Knight is seeking an Actuarial Consultant to assist a Consulting Actuary on actuarial and consulting projects for insurance companies and self-insureds. You will help prepare rate indications, analyses, benchmarking, reserve work, and funding studies in a dynamic team environment.

Ideal candidates have a BS/BA, at least one actuarial exam, a year in Property/Casualty, strong Excel/Word/Access/SQL skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree from an accredited university.
• At least 1 Actuarial Exam.
• At least 1 year working in the Property/Casualty industry.
• Excellent Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Access and SQL.
• Oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Updating reserve studies for new or additional years of data.
• Performing tech reviews of formulas/data entry.
• Performing competitive research to extract key information.
• Extracting and/or summarizing annual statement data.
• Completing actuarial transmittal forms in all US jurisdictions for rate and rule filings.
