Symetra seeks an Actuarial Associate II to run the monthly fixed indexed annuity valuation model and drive enhancements. You will support business insights through in-depth analyses and collaborate with teams on financial reporting and research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong quantitative background including college level mathematics.
• 2 to 6 years of annuity related actuarial experience.
• 3 to 5 actuarial exams.
• Proven ability to adhere to due dates and strong sense of accountability.
• Has a basic understanding of annuity products.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Preferred experience with Python, SQL/Snowflake and or other actuarial modeling software.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with product development, financial reporting, management reporting, experience studies, and actuarial research.
• May prepare reports, maintain spreadsheets, databases, and other actuarial software.
• Commitment to self development, attaining industry knowledge, and passing actuarial exams to achieve actuarial designation.
