Job summary

Society Insurance seeks an experienced Actuarial Associate II to join the Actuarial Department. The role involves working on ratemaking, reserving, and modeling analyses while collaborating with underwriting, claims, finance, and leadership.

Flexible remote/hybrid options and occasional in-person meetings are available near Fond du Lac, WI. You will build data-driven insights, maintain modeling templates, and advance your actuarial exams within a proactive, detail-oriented team focused on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, economics, or related field and 2 years actuarial experience OR 5 years actuarial experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and database tools.
• Completion of at least four actuarial exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ratemaking, reserving, and modeling analyses using data.
• Develop data and reports for special projects.
• Maintain and develop templates for ratemaking, reserving, and modeling.
• Document methods and activities clearly for transparency.
• Provide analysis of ratemaking, reserving, modeling, and special projects.
• Pass one CAS exam per year unless associateship achieved.

About the Role

Utilizes and verifies data provided by Information Technology to prepare ratemaking, reserving, and modeling analysis.Develops data and reports for special projects.Maintains, enhances, and develops templates used for ratemaking, reserving, and modeling.Maintains clear and concise documentation of ratemaking, reserving, and modeling methods and activities.Provides analysis of ratemaking, reserving, modeling, and special projects.Passes one CAS exam per year unless Associateship has already been achieved.

What it Will Take

Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, economics, or related field and 2 years of actuarial work experience (OR) 5 years of actuarial work experience.Strong proficiency in Excel and Database.Completion of at least four actuarial exams.Highly motivated and ability to work independently.5+ years of experience in property/casualty insurance highly desirable
