Actuarial Analyst Sr
We are adding to our diverse team of experts in the Corporate Reserving department at Munich Re America Services (MRAS). This role supports loss reserve analyses for the US property and casualty business, including monitoring reserve positions, developing actuarial methods, tools, and assessing reserve uncertainty and financial reporting under IFRS17, Solvency II, local GAAP and statutory standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete actuarial analysis with minimal supervision.
- Participate in development of actuarial presentations and present results/topics to clients and management.
- Complete required data preparation and identify data and operational issues requiring actuarial attention.
- Document and communicate assumptions, results, and alternatives to staff and clients.
- Act as interface between Corporate Reserving and Global Reserving, as well as Controlling, Accounting, and Claims staff.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual internal and external reporting and closing for non‑life reinsurance business.
- Prepare for and pass actuarial exams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, economics, business or related fields.
- Two or more years of (re)insurance/actuarial experience or successful completion of the MR Graduate Trainee Program.
- Passed at least two actuarial exams.
- Strong technical actuarial skills and working knowledge of models and underlying concepts.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and applying advanced techniques in worksheets and applications.
- Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to schedule, prioritize workload demands, multitask, and manage projects with multiple resources.
Location and Compensation
Princeton, NJ. Base salary range $86,600–$127,100 plus company bonus based on eligible pay. Additional benefits include comprehensive health insurance, vision and dental plans, life and disability insurance, 401(k) match, retirement savings, paid holidays and PTO.
