Your Role


The Risk Adjustment Analytics & Reporting team is seeking an Experienced Actuarial Analyst. The analyst will report to the Manager of Risk Adjustment Analytics & Reporting and will be responsible for creating and managing various analytical projects to help providers accurately capture the risk scores of their member populations. Additional duties include supporting the member suspecting process and Blue Shield's prospective programs.


Your Knowledge and Experience


  • Requires a bachelor's degree with at least a minor in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or equivalent business experience.
  • Requires at least 2 years of professional actuarial experience.
  • Must be an independent, proactive problem solver with patience for large-scale problems.
  • Strong technical skills required.
  • Programming knowledge preferred (SAS and/or VBA), including sample code in any language.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Completion of 4+ Society of Actuaries exams is preferred but not required.
