Job summary

Ameritas in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks an Assistant Actuary to provide actuarial services for dental and vision products, covering pricing, experience analysis and rate filings. The role supports profitability, regulatory compliance and product management with cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

This hybrid position works partially in-office in Lincoln and partially from home, with opportunities to influence product initiatives and regulatory outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent.
• ASA designation required; active pursuit of FSA strongly preferred.
• 3–5+ years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Dental actuarial experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform pricing, experience, trend, and profitability analyses for individual dental and vision products.
• Support product management initiatives through financial analysis and forecasting.
• Monitor product performance and investigate experience trends and risk factors.
• Develop and maintain actuarial models, pricing tools, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations, Underwriting, and Finance on actuarial projects.
• Prepare actuarial analyses for rate filings, including exhibits and memoranda.
• Provide actuarial support for regulatory examinations and inquiries.
• Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives.
