Job Title: Actuarial Analyst

About the Role

Are you a numbers-driven professional with a passion for healthcare analytics? We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join a dynamic team where your insights will drive strategic decision-making. In this role, you will focus on analyzing healthcare claims and membership data to support financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives. This position is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact through predictive modeling and advanced actuarial techniques in a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis and modeling of healthcare claims and membership data to support financial reporting and forecasting efforts.
• Utilize predictive analytics to inform risk adjustment, pricing, reserving (IBNR), and value-based care strategies.
• Develop and maintain executive-level reports and dashboards that highlight trends and recommend strategic actions.
• Collaborate across finance, clinical, and operational teams to align data-driven insights with organizational planning.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and changes in actuarial standards to ensure compliance and relevance.
• Support actuarial documentation and adhere to internal controls and audit requirements.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with healthcare or health insurance data.
• Completion of at least one actuarial exam (2–3 exams preferred).
• Strong skills in SQL and Excel; familiarity with SAS, Power BI, or Tableau is a significant plus.
• Working knowledge of IBNR reserving and financial reporting.
• Experience in managed care or value-based care environments is highly preferred.

Preferred Background

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
• Insight into medical cost trends, population health analytics, and health plan performance metrics.
