Job summary

Everest Global Services, Inc. is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support our international book of business. You will liaise with underwriting and management to perform pricing analyses, exposure assessments, and portfolio reviews.

The role involves developing models for reinsurance pricing and collaborating with global teams to ensure consistent practices. Requires 1–5 years of P&C actuarial pricing and progress toward professional designation.

Qualifications

• Actuarial, math or science degree required.
• 1–5 years of P&C actuarial pricing experience; reinsurance a plus.
• Progress toward an actuarial designation desired.
• Experience in project work and tool development.
• Line of business experience in Latin America, Caribbean and/or Middle Eastern markets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with underwriting and management to support international book of business.
• Collaborate with underwriters on pricing analyses and exposure analysis.
• Perform transactional actuarial pricing analyses and portfolio management tasks.
• Develop and test new models with the Solutions team for reinsurance pricing.
• Coordinate with international actuaries to ensure best practices.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Liaise with underwriting and management in support of our international book of businessCollaborate closely with Underwriters on technical assessments and exposure analysisPerforming transactional actuarial pricing analyses, conducting lines of business studies, profitability reviews, portfolio management, and ad-hoc modeling workWorking closely with the Solutions team to develop and test new models related to reinsurance pricing, as well as improve existing models.
• Work with other actuaries across the International branches to ensure consistency and adherence to best practicesSupport other global reinsurance pricing teams as needed

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

• Actuarial, Math or Science related degree with excellent computer/data manipulation skills
• 1-5 years of P&C actuarial pricing experience; reinsurance a plus
• Demonstrated progress towards an actuarial designation by a recognized body
• Experience in project work and tool development
• Ideally has line of business experience in Latin America, Caribbean and/or Middle Eastern markets.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• Experience with Python, and/or R, SQL, programming skills is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency preferred
• Keen to work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, good team player
• A business-oriented focus (motivated, self-directed, organized, and analytical)

The base salary range for this position is $77,000 - $117,000 annually.
