Job summary

Medical Mutual is seeking Actuarial Analyst I–IV with a strong foundation in health actuarial work. The role emphasizes estimating, reserving, and pricing, with ASA progression encouraged. The package features on-site Brooklyn duties and a comprehensive benefits program.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, plus progressive actuarial coursework. Candidates gain exposure to Medicare areas and advanced MS Office tools in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Has passed Society of Actuaries Course 1 and on track to Course 2 (Analyst I/ASA track).
• ASA designation or on-track status is noted in multiple levels.
• Intermediate MS Office skills, including Access.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Access.

Actuarial Analyst II

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 1 year experience in health actuarial work.
• 1 year of experience in Medicare actuarial work if assigned to the Medicare area.

Professional Certification(s):

• Has completed 3 courses and is on track to attain the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills, including MS Access.

Actuarial Analyst III

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 3 years experience in health actuarial work required; 4 years preferred.
• 1 year of experience in Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement if assigned to Medicare area.

Professional Certification(s):

• Has passed 4 courses and is on track to attain the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Intermediate MS Office Skills, including MS Access.

Actuarial Analyst IV

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 4 years experience in health actuarial work required; 5 years preferred.
• 2 years of experience in Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement if assigned to the Medicare area.

Professional Certification(s):

• Has passed 5 courses and is on track to attain the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Intermediate MS Office Skills, including MS Access.
