Job summary

CRC Group in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an entry‑level Actuarial Analyst. This regular, full‑time role provides actuarial support in data collection, validation, and analysis for pricing, reserving, and risk modeling under supervision.

You will use Excel and actuarial tools such as SAS, R, and Python to perform predictive modeling, generate standard reports for internal and regulatory use, and collaborate with underwriters, finance, and product teams to support informed business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam is preferred.
  • 0–2 years of actuarial work experience or internship experience in the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with actuarial analysis tools such as SAS, R, or Python.

Provides actuarial support in the development, analysis, and review of insurance products, reserving practices, and risk modeling. Performs entry-level actuarial tasks under supervision to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory and company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS
  • At least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exam completed or in progress.
  • Membership in an actuarial professional body is a plus.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
  • Data analysis and statistical modeling skills.
  • Working knowledge of insurance principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software and advanced Excel functions.
  • Ability to interpret mathematical models and communicate findings effectively.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
