Overview
Job Title: Actor (Seasonal). Location: Denver, CO 80216. Position Type: Seasonal. Salary Range: $19.31 per hour. Shift: Any.
Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group is a leader in immersive, story-driven live events and haunted attractions. As part of the seasonal team, you will help create experiences that thrill and delight guests across heart-pounding haunted houses and special events. This is a seasonal position tied to select events produced by the company. Employment is at-will with no guarantee of continued or repeat employment in future seasons or events.
Responsibilities
- Performance and Character Immersion
- Inhabit assigned character fully, maintaining a consistent and authentic persona while visible to guests.
- Use improvisational skills to engage spontaneously and convincingly with guests.
- Adjust performance in real time based on guest reactions and supervisor feedback.
- Guest Experience and Interaction
- Deliver well-timed scares or character interactions to guide guest flow and maintain pacing.
- Incorporate creative ad-libbing and unscripted moments to create personalized guest experiences.
- Use voice, physicality, and stage presence to support the story and heighten excitement.
- Attraction- or Event-Specific Performance
- Tailor performance style to the theme, storyline, and atmosphere of the assigned area or maze.
- Integrate props, set pieces, and environmental effects into the performance safely and effectively.
- Teamwork and Adaptability
- Take direction from supervisors and adapt to role changes based on event needs and guest volume.
- Communicate and collaborate with fellow actors, operations, and technical staff to support smooth, high-quality show operations.
- Safety and Compliance
- Remain alert to safety concerns, guest issues, or policy violations and report them promptly.
- Follow safety procedures, costume and makeup guidelines, and operational protocols to protect yourself, your team, and guests.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Comfortable working in dark, loud, and themed environments with strobe effects, fog, and close guest interaction.
