Via Linda Behavioral Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Activity Therapist for PRN/Per Diem to join our new 120-bed facility delivering inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use services. You will plan and implement activity programs as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Art, Music, Recreation therapy, Humanities, Social Work or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience in psychiatric patient care preferred.
• CTRS certification preferred; Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for the assigned program as part of the treatment team.
• Define and implement treatment goals with interdisciplinary collaboration and patient care.
• Provide continuous patient observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

Responsibilities

Activity Therapist - PRN/Per Diem Via Linda Behavioral Hospital, newly opened, is excited to begin offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the Scottsdale, Arizona population and the greater Phoenix region. Our 120-bed facility offers specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions.

The Recreation Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Art, Music, or Recreation therapy, Humanities, Social Work or related therapeutic discipline.
• A minimum of One (1) year of related experience, knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Certification or licensure as a CTRS is preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
