Job summary

Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is seeking an Activity Therapist for PRN positions to provide therapeutic activity services to inpatient adults and adolescents. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to support emotional and substance use treatment goals.

Position Summary
Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team by providing therapeutic activity services to adult and adolescent patients under the hospital’s care for emotional or substance abuse problems.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, occupational therapy) preferred. Certification or registration preferred.
Experience: One year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: CPI/CPR certification required.
Other: Assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills; knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment; flexibility; time management and organization skills; teaching or training skills helpful; understanding of, or ability to understand DSM-5 methodology; able to meet deadlines.
