Job summary

HRI Hospital in Brookline, MA is seeking a Per Diem Activity Therapist for inpatient psychiatric units. The role involves leading treatment groups, performing assessments, and collaborating with patients on goals. Per Diem hours are available on weekdays and/or weekends.

The position requires a Master’s in a human services field and licensure consideration (LCSW/LMHC/LICSW/OT). Inpatient experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use interviewing techniques, observations, and screening tools to assess patient function.
• Identify patients’ assets and problem areas; collaborate on goal-setting.
• Recommend activities for goal attainment and assist patients in selecting groups and activities.
• Complete daily notes for each group.

HRI Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Activity Therapist for our inpatient psychiatric units. This is a highly satisfying opportunity for a clinical professional who thrives on providing highly individualized care to a very acute patient population. This is a Per Diem position with hours available on weekdays and/or weekends.

HRI Hospital is a 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs.
