Job Details: Under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager for Day Treatment, the Activity Therapist (AT) is responsible for implementing various activities (art, music, games, video, drama, movement, sports, crafts, dance, relaxation techniques, etc.) to promote the physical and emotional well-being of day treatment patients. The AT utilizes group content aligned with the program philosophy and evidence-based practices. The AT collaborates as part of the interdisciplinary team and must be certified in Ohio as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Recreational Therapist, or Expressive Therapist, providing services in group or individual settings. The AT demonstrates Dayton Children’s values through effective interactions with patients, families, and team members, ensuring excellent care.

Department: Inpatient Behavioral Health
Schedule: Part-time, with at least 1 shift per month, eligible for shift differential
Hours: 4 hours per shift
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; certification as Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), Dance/Movement Therapist (ADTA), Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (NCTRC), Music Therapist (CBMT), or Occupational Therapy Assistant (NBCOT) preferred.
