Via Linda Behavioral Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a dedicated Recreation Therapist to join our inpatient/outpatient team. You will plan and implement activity services, set treatment goals, and provide continuous patient care as part of the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Art, Music, Recreation therapy or related field, 1 year of experience, and CTRS certification preferred, plus ability to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Art, Music, Recreation therapy, Humanities, or related field.
• Minimum one year of related experience; knowledge of psychiatric patient care preferred.
• CTRS certification or licensure preferred; Fingerprint Clearance Card required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for assigned program, define and implement treatment goals as part of the interdisciplinary team, and provide continuous patient care and engagement.

The Recreation Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Art, Music, or Recreation therapy, Humanities, Social Work or related therapeutic discipline.
• A minimum of One (1) year of related experience, knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Certification or licensure as a CTRS is preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
