South Sound Behavioral Hospital in Lacey, WA is seeking an Activity Therapist (CTRS) including Music, Art, Recreation, or OT Therapist. This full-time role plans and delivers activity services within an interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient goals.

You will conduct observation and interaction with patients, help define treatment goals, and provide continuous care as part of a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational, Art, Music, or Recreational Therapy or related field.
• Washington state and/or national licensure in art/occupational/recreation/music therapy.
• 1 year of related psychiatric patient care experience.
• CPR certification and CPI training within 30 days of employment.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for assigned program within the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Define and implement treatment goals with patients.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling.
• Collaborate with other therapists and staff to support patient recovery goals.

(CTRS) (Music Therapist) (Art Therapist) (Occupational Therapist)Day ShiftYour Work Matters How will you make a difference?South Sound Behavioral Hospital is hiring experienced Music, Art, Recreation, or OT Therapist.The Activity Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational, Art, Music, or Recreational Therapy, humanities, social work or related therapeutic discipline, or a Master’s degree preferred.Licensure: Certification or licensure by state of Washington and/or national governing body in of the following areas: art, occupational, recreation, or music therapy.Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of CPI prior to assisting with a restraining procedure and within 30 days of employment.
