We seek an Activity Therapist to inspire hope and support recovery through therapeutic activities, using recreation, expressive therapies, and group sessions to promote self-expression, coping skills, and positive behavior change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy or related field.
• Three or more years’ experience in recreation in a healthcare setting.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certifications required; first aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and implement activities within the treatment program to support patient progress.
• Lead therapeutic groups and activities to promote self-expression and coping skills.
• Instruct patients in activities such as arts, sports, dance, or relaxation techniques.
• Develop treatment plans and adapt activities to meet patient needs.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities and community outings.
• Maintain patient safety and professional demeanor.
