Job summary

Centennial Peaks Hospital in Louisville, CO seeks a PRN Activities Therapist (Art, Recreation, Music, or Dance/Movement) Board Certified in Specialty to join our inpatient team and enrich patient care with expressive arts therapy and psychoeducational groups.

Bachelor’s Degree in Specialty Therapy is required; CTRS/MT-BC/R-DMT/ATR registration is mandatory. One year of mental health experience preferred. Weekdays with occasional weekends in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on inpatient psychiatric units.

Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department. Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services.

The Activities Therapist is an important member of the Centennial Peaks Hospital’s inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Activities Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities to inpatient psychiatric units. We are looking for candidates who specializes in Recreational, Art, Dance/Movement or Expressive Arts.

This is a PRN position-Weekdays with Occasional Weekends.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Specialty Therapy Required.

• MUST be registered as a Recreation (CTRS), Music (MT-BC), Dance/Movement (R-DMT) or Art Therapist (ATR)
• Preferred: Board-Certified in specialty
• Bachelor’s Degree in Specialty Therapy Required.
• One year experience in working with a mental health population preferred.

Recreation-MUST have or be eligible for CTRS

Music-MUST have or be eligible for MT-BC

Dance/Movement or Expressive Arts-MUST have or be eligible for R-DMT or REAT
