Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. It is a major regional resource for children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric, behavioral, and substance dependency issues. The campus borders Fairmount Park in Philadelphia's Roxborough section. Fairmount offers one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia and is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.

We are seeking a Per Diem-Allied Therapist to join our team. The Per Diem Allied Therapist assesses patients’ leisure and recreational activities, provides age-appropriate therapy groups using activities, creative arts, and talk therapy, helps develop safety/crisis plans, and establishes behavioral treatment goals consistent with our philosophy and objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Assess patient admissions and provide updates throughout their stay.
• Perform and document Allied Therapy assessments within 72 hours of admission, considering age, mental, social, and physical status. Develop safety/crisis plans.
• Participate in developing the Master Treatment plan, setting measurable therapeutic goals, and reassessing every 7 days.
• Communicate openly and reflectively with patients, ensuring clarity and appropriateness.
• Understand and demonstrate evidence-based treatment principles.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in allied health or related counseling/clinical field required.
• Experience working with individuals recovering from mental health disorders preferred.
• PA professional license preferred. PA licensed Music or Art Therapist preferred.
