Job Summary and Specifications
Job Title: Activity Specialist

Education: High School Graduate or GED minimum
Experience : Minimum 1 years' experience in working with the elderly in a social or recreational program. Providing or assisting with coordinating services for a frail elderly population within the past 5 years preferred.
Number and Type of Employees Supervised (optional) : None
Licensure, Registry or Certification : NC Certified Nursing Aide (CNA), National and/or NC Activity Director, or NC Licensed Recreational Therapy Assistant (LRTA) Certifications preferred, but not required.
Special Training : Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Good understanding of psychosocial problems of aging. Meets a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by Senior TLC and approved by CMS before working independently.
Ability to speak fluent Spanish preferred, but not required.
Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact
