Socket.dev is seeking an Activity Specialist to plan, coordinate, and implement activities for adults in the Day Health Center. The role collaborates with the Activities Coordinator and Lead CNAs to deliver engaging social and recreational programming, documenting participation in medical records.
Responsibilities include coordinating monthly activity calendars, communicating patient condition changes to the IDT, and fostering a supportive community environment for seniors in care.

Education:High School Graduate or GED minimum
Experience: Minimum 1 years’ experience in working with the elderly in a social or recreational program. Providing or assisting with coordinating services for a frail elderly population within the past 5 years preferred.
Number and Type of Employees Supervised (optional):None
Licensure, Registry or Certification: NC Certified Nursing Aide (CNA), National and/or NC Activity Director, or NC Licensed Recreational Therapy Assistant (LRTA) Certifications preferred, but not required.
Special Training: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Good understanding of psychosocial problems of aging. Meets a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by Senior TLC and approved by CMS before working independently.
Ability to speak fluent Spanish preferred, but not required.
Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact
