Job summary

Capitol River Wellness & Rehabilitation seeks an Activity/Recreation Assistant to support the Activity Director in assessing, selecting, organizing and implementing recreational services tailored to residents with individualized needs and interests.

You will help develop programs to promote engagement, maintain safety notes for each patient, encourage participation in group and individual activities, and perform miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with coursework in recreation is desirable.
• Completion of a state approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.
• Experience in leading recreational activities and community outings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and delivery of activity programs to promote patient engagement.
• Maintains precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourages patient participation in group and individual activities.
• Performs miscellaneous work assignments as required.
