Job summary

Huntington-Woods-C- is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and lead daily resident activities, encouraging participation across recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic programs. You will support residents with individual activities as needed and assist with events, outings, and entertainment, building relationships to promote socialization.

The role requires dependable, patient, creative, and compassionate individuals with strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with seniors or individuals with dementia is a plus.
• Must be dependable, patient, creative, and compassionate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily resident activities.
• Encourage participation in recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who prefer or require individual engagement.
• Assist with special events, holidays, outings, and entertainment.
• Build positive relationships with residents and encourage socialization.
• Document resident participation and activity outcomes.
• Assist with maintaining the activity calendar and supplies.
• Follow all facility policies and safety requirements.
• Work closely with the Activity Director and interdisciplinary team.
