Job summary

Bedford Wellness is seeking a friendly Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) to bring compassion to residents in a five-star facility.

The role focuses on planning and delivering recreational programs that meet social, emotional, educational, and physical needs, in alignment with care plans. Qualifications

• Accreditation as a Certified Activity Director and completion of state-approved training.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related field; licensed or registered.
• Minimum 1 year as an Activity Director in long-term care.
• Two years of social/recreational program experience in health care, past five years.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements comprehensive therapeutic recreation programs for residents.
• Assess and organize recreational services to meet residents' needs and interests.
• Plan and deliver activities to promote engagement and maintain functioning.
• Maintain resident activity records and participate in care plan meetings.
• Coordinate a monthly activity calendar and community events.
• Monitor attendance and identify risk factors; document progress.
• Assist with admissions interviews and create care plans.
• Coordinate Volunteer Program and staff continuing education.
• Manage department budget and supplies within limits.
• Other duties as assigned.
