Aldersbridge Communities: Arbor Hill Assisted Living in Providence, RI seeks an energetic Activity Director to lead a vibrant program for residents, guiding daily activities that promote social, physical, and mental well‑being.

This full‑time, in‑person role requires creativity, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with staff, families, and volunteers while ensuring safety and person‑centered care for seniors.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care, home & community care, or similar settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Background in event planning or recreational therapy.
• Familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer's care best practices.
• Understanding of social work principles and person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a wide range of engaging, inclusive activities.
• Interview residents and families to create personalized activity plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress notes.
• Coordinate with other departments and provide transportation for outings.
• Supervise activity staff and volunteers, and assist residents with crafts, projects, and appointments.
• Promote family involvement and foster a warm, supportive environment.

Activity Director – Full-Time

Are you a creative and compassionate professional with a passion for enriching the lives of older adults? We're seeking a full-time Activity Director to lead and inspire a vibrant activity program at Arbor Hill Assisted Living located in Providence, RI.

What You'll Do:

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an assisted living or nursing home setting preferred
• Must be able to drive a 15 passenger van to take residents out on outings
• Valid driver's license
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, per Rhode Island Department of Health guidelines

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30AM-4:30PM
• 8-hour shift
• In-person position
