Job summary

Avantara Pierre, part of Legacy Healthcare, seeks an Activities Director to enhance residents' emotional and social wellbeing by leading activity programs in a skilled nursing setting.

You will oversee the Activity Department, participate in care conferences, and develop programs aligned with trends and standards, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior Activity Aide and/or Activity Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a director or managerial role.
• NCCAP Certification preferred, but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Activity Department and ensure programs meet residents' physical, emotional and psychosocial needs.
• Implement and direct activity programs that enhance residents' quality of life.
• Participate in resident care conferences to integrate activities with care plans.
• Develop new activity programs to keep up with industry trends and standards.

As an Activity Director you are responsible for our residents' emotional and social well-being. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Pierre by implementing and directing activity programs that meet the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of our residents, overseeing all aspects of the Activity Department, participating in resident care conferences and developing new activity programs to keeping up with trends and industry standards. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: At a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior Activity Aide and/or Activity Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, one (1) year of experience in a director or managerial role and NCCAP Certification is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
