Responsibilities

• Design and lead daily, weekly, and monthly activities promoting wellness, creativity, and social connection.
• Evaluate current activities, introduce innovative ideas to stimulate and engage residents across units and times of day.
• Oversee activity staff and volunteers, ensuring high-quality, person-centered experiences.
• Coordinate special events, community outings, and cultural celebrations.
• Adapt programs to meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehab, and social work teams to support holistic care.
• Track participation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Build relationships with residents, families, and local organizations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a Manager, Supervisor, or Director in long-term care or rehabilitation (2+ years preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in SNF or rehab facility for seniors.
• Certification or eligibility as an Activity Director (NCCAP or similar).
• Strong leadership, creativity, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with individuals with varying abilities, including memory care.
• Energetic, compassionate, and organized.
• Willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays for events.
