Job summary

Atrium Centers Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Community in Grand Haven, MI is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Director to enrich residents' daily lives through therapeutic recreation and meaningful programs.

In this 100% employee-owned organization, you’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document care plans, and lead engaging activities while ensuring compliance and exceptional resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an Activities Department within a healthcare setting.
• Willing to obtain certification (CTRS, MMT, or AT credential).
• RAC certification and good standing (required if not CTRS, MMT, or AT).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs tailored to resident needs
• Facilitate individual and group activities across varied functional levels
• Complete assessments, care plans, progress notes, and MDS documentation
• Coordinate special events, community outings, and volunteer involvement
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and families
• Support residents’ spiritual, emotional, recreational, leisure, and social needs in both group and individual settings
